Like many young girls Dr. Liz dreamed at an early age of becoming a veterinarian. Now, living her dream in Evergreen she knows how fortunate she is to be working with the best clients and pets she could ask for. A native of Big Bear Lake California (an area very similar to Evergreen) she remembers “practicing” on her dog Candy, a very patient Australian shepherd mix. Candy continues to serve as an inspiration to her along with all of her current and past pets and patients.
Dr. Liz received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UCLA in 1992 – GO BRUINS! There she was on the women’s rowing team and would love to get back into it if anyone out there needs a seat filled…. She continued studies in Virology at UC Davis, earning a master’s degree in 1996. From there she made the interstate move to Colorado, earning her doctorate of veterinary medicine degree from CSU in 2000. She was recognized as Senior of The Year by the American Animal Hospital Association. Her professional interests include surgery, nutrition, acupuncture, geriatrics, and emergency medicine. She feels honored to have the opportunity to treat patients with the best attitude, and is constantly humbled by their willingness to allow us to help them.
Married to Dr. Kevin, she also shares her home with four wonderful, rambunctious children, a 17-year old cat, an Australian shepherd mix, a Boerboel mastiff, a rat, and a bunny rabbit. As a result, she has no spare time but does enjoy a good book when she can squeeze one in.
